How do you make a Formable pattern ???
You use a piece or wire, something reasonable stiff, but bendable say a piece of No8 that has been heated. I use a length of electrical wire called "pyro" (ask an old electrician).
Make a round wooden plug 50 mm long to fit in the header drill a hole in the center for the wire. From your design of pipe make corrugated cardboard disks for each 50 mm along the length of the pipes OD about 2mm smaller than diameter of pipe. Cut a hole in center and thread on wire. Hot glue onto wire. You now have a straight piece of wire with a cardboard "skeleton" of the outline of your pipe.
Fit the skeleton into your header bend the wire around your engine into the desired shape. The fact that the wire is along the central axis of the plug maintains the correct tuned length. Make sure the cardboard disks remain at 90 degrees to the wire this maintains the desired diameter at each station
